Iran Threatens to Review Relations with UK Over Fairford Airbase Allegations

Iran has summoned the British ambassador in Tehran and warned that it could seriously review bilateral relations with the UK unless London provides evidence to support allegations linked to a security incident at RAF Fairford.

The move follows comments by British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, who said there was a strong likelihood that an alleged plot targeting the airbase had been coordinated from inside Iran, involving the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Tehran has denied any involvement in the incident.

RAF Fairford was previously used by US bombers involved in attacks on Iran. Iran has accused the UK of making baseless allegations and demanded supporting evidence from the British government.
