Reza Pahlavi, the former crown prince of Iran, has welcomed a joint statement by the United States and nine other Western Hemisphere countries condemning what they described as Iranian terrorist activities and influence operations in the region.
In a post on X, Pahlavi said the statement highlighted what he described as Iran’s alleged involvement in terrorist plots, illicit fundraising, political interference and threats to regional security.
The joint statement was signed by the US, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru and Trinidad and Tobago. The countries said they would strengthen cooperation to counter activities attributed to Iran and its proxies.
