White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said President Donald Trump’s meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were “positive and constructive.” Trump met Zelenskyy and Netanyahu in Washington on Tuesday while the two leaders were in the US capital to attend the funeral of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham. In a post on X after the meeting, Zelenskyy described his talks with Trump as “good” and thanked the US president for their joint efforts to protect Ukrainian lives and advance peace. Zelenskyy said the discussions focused on authorising the production of Patriot missiles, several other defence-related proposals, and the continuation of diplomatic efforts. Before departing for Washington, Netanyahu said Iran would be the top priority in his discussions with the US president.
