Spain Reach World Cup Final After Dominant Victory Over France

Spain have reached the World Cup final after securing a convincing victory over France, one of the tournament favourites. Luis de la Fuente’s side produced a disciplined performance at the Dallas Stadium in the United States, neutralising France’s attacking threats and controlling a match that offered limited clear chances. Spain took the lead in the first half when Mikel Oyarzabal converted a penalty after Lucas Digne’s challenge on Lamine Yamal inside the box. The forward calmly sent the spot-kick into the corner to give Spain the advantage. France looked to respond after the break, but Spain continued to control the game with a well-organised defensive structure. Pedro Porro doubled Spain’s lead after a fine one-two combination with Dani Olmo, leaving France with a difficult task to recover. Despite having more than half an hour to find a way back into the match, France struggled to break through Spain’s disciplined defence, which had conceded only one goal throughout the tournament. Spain remained composed until the final whistle and secured their place in Sunday’s World Cup final.
