Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it targeted and destroyed US military assets in recent attacks, including weapons storage facilities, parts of ships and aircraft at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain. In a statement, the IRGC said MQ-9B drones were also used at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, claiming that several drones were damaged during the operation. Iran’s military has also claimed that it carried out drone attacks against a US F-18 fighter aircraft base and ammunition storage facilities at Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan. The claims come after the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it had launched new strikes in Iran and resumed maritime blockade operations. Meanwhile, several Iranian media outlets have reported hearing explosions in a number of southern areas of the country, including Bandar Abbas, Sirik and Ahvaz.
