Magnus Brunner Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migrationr, has said that recent talks with Taliban delegation were held only at a technical level and do not constitute recognition of the government of Afghanistan. The Austrian official stated that experts and professionals from 15 European countries took part in the discussions without the involvement of political representatives. Brunner added that during the talks, the Taliban delegation was asked to take responsibility for the readmission and return of Afghan migrants with criminal records. According to him, the discussions took place within the framework of technical coordination and migration management.
