Donald Trump, President of the United States, has said that Washington will take necessary action if Iran fails to comply with its agreements. According to Reuters, Trump told reporters that Iran is using funds released by the United States to purchase food. In response, Abdul Nasir Hemmati, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, emphasized that under existing agreements, Iran is under no obligation to purchase goods from the United States. Meanwhile, Iranian officials say the country has discretion in the use of the released financial resources and can allocate them to various purchases, not limited to the United States.
