Donald Trump, who is attending the Group of Seven leaders’ summit in France, said a memorandum of understanding with Iran has not yet been “finalized” and suggested that military action could resume if he is not satisfied with its implementation. Speaking on the sidelines of the summit, he said: “This is a memorandum. If I don’t like it, we’ll start shooting again and drop bombs on them again. If I don’t like it, if they don’t behave properly, we will go straight back to bombing.” Trump also said the agreement does not include the immediate lifting of sanctions on Iran, adding that he would provide further details at a later time.
