U.S. President Donald Trump called on Iran to de-escalate tensions and resume negotiations after Tehran launched ballistic missiles toward northern Israel. Speaking to Fox News, Trump said: “You’ve fired your missiles. That’s enough. Get back to the negotiating table and make a deal.” His remarks came after Iran fired several missiles at Israel, an action Tehran said was in response to Israeli strikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut. The exchange has raised concerns about a renewed escalation in regional tensions and the possible collapse of the fragile ceasefire that has been in place between the sides. Trump also warned that continued military confrontation could undermine ongoing efforts to reach a political agreement between Washington and Tehran.
