U.S. President Donald Trump has said that he would be willing to meet Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, if circumstances allow. In a recent interview, Trump suggested that the leaders of the two countries could maintain positive relations and indicated that dialogue between them was possible. Responding to a question about the possibility of meeting Iran’s leader, Trump said: “Yes, I would like to see him. I like meeting everyone. I would like to meet him, and probably at some point, depending on how things develop, that meeting will take place.” The remarks come as relations between Iran and the United States remain one of the most significant and sensitive issues in international affairs.
