While Donald Trump has expressed optimism about the possibility of reaching an agreement with Iran, stating that a framework for a deal has been prepared, Iranian media report that Tehran has not yet made a final decision on participating in a second round of negotiations. Iran’s state news agency IRNA reported that under current conditions, there is no clear prospect for successful negotiations with Washington. The report added that Tehran has yet to reach a final decision on engaging in new talks with the United States. Meanwhile, Tasnim News Agency, which is close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, had earlier reported that amid ongoing pressures and tensions—including issues related to the Strait of Hormuz—Iran has not decided on sending a negotiating delegation. However, reports indicate that in recent days, Tehran and Washington have exchanged messages through Pakistan’s mediation. Efforts by Islamabad to revive the negotiation process are also ongoing. Tensions between the two sides have increased following recent disagreements and regional issues, leaving the future of talks uncertain.
