Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, held talks with General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, focusing on regional developments and ways to enhance stability and bilateral cooperation. According to reports, President Pezeshkian underscored that Iran seeks peace, stability, and the expansion of brotherly relations with countries in the region. He also stressed that regional security should be ensured by the countries of the region themselves. Referring to relations between Tehran and Washington, Pezeshkian noted that public trust in the United States has declined due to what he described as violations of commitments. Meanwhile, General Asim Munir highlighted ongoing developments and emphasized that continued diplomatic efforts could pave the way for agreements and a reduction in tensions. Both sides underlined the importance of dialogue, regional cooperation, and the use of political solutions to resolve disputes.
