UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves has criticized Donald Trump’s actions in the Middle East, describing what she called an “unplanned war” as a “foolish mistake.” Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Reeves said the UK did not initiate or seek the conflict and expressed frustration over the U.S. entering the war without a clear exit strategy or defined objectives. She added that while no reasonable person supports the Iranian government, starting a conflict without a clear plan or goal is, in her view, irresponsible. Reeves is among the few senior UK officials, aside from Prime Minister Keir Starmer, to openly voice criticism of Trump’s approach to the crisis.
