Talks between the United States and Iran have ended without agreement after several hours of negotiations in Islamabad. JD Vance announced at a press conference that no deal had been reached with Iran. “We did not reach an agreement because they did not accept our conditions,” he said, adding that the talks lasted 21 hours and involved substantive discussions, but ultimately failed to produce a deal. He warned that the consequences of the failure would be more negative for Iran than for the United States, stressing that the talks “were not successful.” According to Vance, the U.S. delegation will return to Washington, D.C.
