Afghan boxer Fereshteh Khani has won the gold medal at Pakistan’s national boxing championships. The competition was recently held in Hyderabad and lasted nearly a week, with athletes from more than 20 regions and provinces across Pakistan taking part. Khani competed in the 50kg category and secured first place after defeating all her opponents. According to available information, she won three bouts on her way to the title. She described the achievement as a significant milestone for herself and Afghanistan in a post shared on her Instagram page. Meanwhile, former Afghan president Hamid Karzai congratulated her in a separate message and wished her and other Afghan athletes continued success.
