Kaja Kallas said Israel’s right to self-defense does not justify the large-scale destruction in Lebanon, despite Hezbollah’s role in escalating tensions. She noted that recent Israeli strikes killed over 300 people and wounded more than 1,000, calling such actions difficult to justify. Kallas also warned the attacks are straining the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, and urged that it be extended to Lebanon. Israel says the truce with Iran does not include Lebanon, while Shehbaz Sharif and Iran insist it should.
