Lebanese officials say at least 182 people have been killed and 890 others injured in Israeli airstrikes on the capital, Beirut, over the past 24 hours. According to Associated Press, the strikes are among the deadliest incidents in Lebanon in recent days. The report states that the attacks took place following a ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States–Israel, an arrangement that some sources say also included Lebanon. Despite this, Israeli forces reportedly targeted densely populated areas, commercial centers, and residential neighborhoods. The President of the United States and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have both stressed that Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire and that a separate war against Hezbollah is ongoing. In contrast, Pakistan, which has played a mediating role in the agreement, has stated that Lebanon is included within the ceasefire framework. At the same time, Iran has warned that it will withdraw from the ceasefire if Israeli attacks on Lebanon continue. The report also notes that Israeli forces struck nearly 100 targets within approximately 10 minutes. According to available figures, more than 1,739 people have been killed and 5,873 others injured in Lebanon over more than five weeks of fighting.
