At least three people have been killed and two police officers injured in a shooting near the Israeli consulate in Istanbul, according to international media reports. Reuters reported that the incident occurred during an armed confrontation, resulting in multiple casualties. Turkey’s state broadcaster TRT stated that the country’s chief prosecutor has launched an investigation into the incident. According to Reuters, footage circulating online shows a police officer taking cover as gunfire erupts, while another individual is seen lying on the ground with severe injuries.
