The Kabul–Jalalabad highway has been closed to traffic since last night due to flooding and falling rocks and debris from nearby mountains. According to sources, flooding has affected parts of the Tangi Gharu area, and as a result, rocks and debris have fallen onto the road, blocking the route. Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Public Works, said that efforts are underway to clear the road and reopen the highway. He also urged citizens to avoid traveling on this route until further notice.
