Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that his country supplies natural gas to Armenia at significantly lower prices compared to current European rates. Putin made the remarks during a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He noted that gas prices in Europe have exceeded $600 per 1,000 cubic meters, while Russia supplies the same amount to Armenia for only $177.5. He added that discussions over energy pricing between the two countries take place from time to time, but emphasized that the price difference remains substantial. Putin stressed that this significant gap in pricing demonstrates that Russia offers special concessions to its allies in the energy sector.
