Ismail Baqaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Tehran has conveyed its perspectives and key points regarding the war through mediators. In an interview with Yonhap News Agency, he said Iran has received messages from mediators, including Pakistan, which included a U.S. request for diplomacy. Baqaei added that the past year’s experience shows that Washington has not taken a serious approach to diplomacy. He also emphasized that Iran is in a defensive position, and the country’s armed forces and people are focused on defending its territory and sovereignty. Meanwhile, reports indicate ongoing efforts to establish communication channels between Tehran and Washington through regional mediators.
