A boat carrying Afghan migrants capsized in the Aegean Sea, resulting in the deaths of 19 people, including an infant. According to the Associated Press, Turkish authorities reported that the migrants drowned while attempting to flee from the coast guard. The incident occurred near the coastal city of Bodrum, a well-known tourist destination in Türkiye. Rescue teams, supported by a helicopter dispatched from Izmir, managed to save 21 migrants. The bodies of 18 victims were recovered from the water, while another injured individual later died after being transported to a hospital.
