A vehicle overturned into water in Zawal district of Herat province, but all passengers were rescued, with several sustaining minor injuries and transferred to nearby medical centers. The incident occurred yesterday on the “Bar Lakhshak” route when a 580-type vehicle lost control and fell into the water. According to Mohammad Yousuf Saeedi, spokesman for the Herat provincial authorities, civilian and military officials in Zawal district were immediately dispatched to the scene and rescue operations began without delay. Saeedi stated that due to the joint efforts of rescue teams, no fatalities were recorded, and the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Earlier, the Herat local administration had warned residents to avoid traveling to flood-prone roads and areas due to heavy rainfall and the risk of flooding.
