The United Kingdom’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Richard Lindsay, has announced that the UK will provide £3 million in assistance to Afghanistan. In a message posted on his X account, he stated that the aid will be allocated to provide essential nutritional supplies and to support people affected by natural disasters. He added that the amount is equivalent to approximately 257 million Afghanis. Lindsay also noted that with this contribution, the total amount of UK assistance to Afghanistan during the current fiscal year will reach £154 million. He emphasized that the aid will be delivered to those most in need. This comes as Lindsay said in a recent meeting with Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the acting head of refugee and repatriation affairs under the Taliban administration, that the United Kingdom’s assistance to the Afghan people will continue.
