The Afghanistan national Buzkashi team delivered an emphatic performance in their opening match of the international “Kokpar 2026” tournament in Turkistan, defeating Hungary 14–0. According to the Afghanistan Buzkashi Federation, the match was played on the opening day of the competition, with Afghanistan already leading 7–0 at halftime. The tournament began on Tuesday, March 17, and will continue until Saturday, March 21, featuring nine participating teams. In their next fixture, Afghanistan will face Russia on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. Kabul time.
