Security sources in Baghdad report that the United States Embassy in the city was targeted by several Katyusha-type rockets. According to media reports, the embassy’s air defense system was activated and intercepted some of the incoming rockets. Meanwhile, Baghdad International Airport, located near a military base and a U.S. diplomatic facility, was also targeted by drone and rocket attacks. Security sources say ambulances were dispatched to the area following the attacks, and a fire reportedly broke out in part of the airport complex.
