Daoud Naji, head of the Political Committee of the Afghanistan Freedom Front, has said in a recent statement that the Taliban are enemies of Afghanistan and that the continuation of their rule could pose a serious threat to the country’s future. In his latest remarks, Naji wrote that a homeland is not merely a geographical territory. He said that elements such as justice, a sense of responsibility, and a shared sense of ownership among citizens give meaning and stability to a nation. According to Naji, if a country’s wealth is controlled by a limited group while the majority of its people face poverty and economic hardship, women are deprived of their fundamental rights, professional armed forces disappear, and specialists are forced to leave the country or remain inactive, such conditions cannot represent a healthy nation. He added that under such circumstances society faces deep challenges and the country’s future could be at risk of collapse. Naji also emphasized that Afghanistan is currently facing serious political, economic, and social challenges. These remarks come at a time when tensions between Pakistan and the Taliban have increased, while many Afghan citizens are also complaining about difficult economic conditions.
