The Norwegian Refugee Council has expressed concern over the killing of students and civilians amid ongoing clashes between the Taliban and Pakistan. In its latest statement, the organization said that due to the continuing clashes in Khost Province, activities in 21 classrooms supported by the council have been suspended, disrupting the education of more than 620 students. In a post published on Friday on its X account, the council emphasized that education, students, and civilians must not become targets of conflict. The Norwegian Refugee Council also voiced concern over the continued violence, stating that the escalation of fighting has prevented children from safely attending school. The organization called for an immediate end to the clashes and stressed that necessary conditions must be provided to ensure the safe return of children to their classrooms.
