Sohail Afridi, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said that recent meetings with Pakistan’s federal authorities mainly focused on the security situation in the province and other parts of the country. He stressed the need for urgent measures to improve stability. During a news briefing, Afridi warned that the situation could worsen if necessary steps are not taken. He also mentioned the proposal by Imran Khan to form a joint forum of political and tribal representatives for possible dialogue with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
