WORLD CUP:The first major semi-final of the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup will be played this evening, where South Africa will face New Zealand. South Africa has reached the semi-final stage 14 times in World Cup tournaments but has suffered defeat in 12 of those matches. The team remains unbeaten in the current tournament. New Zealand previously experienced an easier defeat against South Africa during the group stage, and the two teams will meet again in tonight’s semi-final match. Meanwhile, the India national team has arrived in Mumbai and is scheduled to face England in the second semi-final of the tournament next Thursday. Eight teams qualified for the knockout stage of the 2026 T20 World Cup, including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Zimbabwe, along with India, New Zealand, South Africa, and England. It was also reported that players from Zimbabwe and the West Indies remain in India due to ongoing regional security concerns in the Middle East and are currently unable to return to their home countries.
