TEHRAN: An airstrike reportedly hit a girls’ school in the city of Minab, located in Hormozgan province, resulting in the deaths of 40 children, according to Iranian state media. Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, condemned the attack as a “crime against the people” and warned that it would not go unanswered. The casualty figures were reported by the Islamic Republic News Agency. There has been no immediate independent confirmation of the reported toll.
