TEL AVIV: Israel has declared a state of emergency and urged its citizens to remain near safe shelters as military operations against Iran unfold. Al Jazeera reports that Israel has launched attacks on targets in Iran. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that the country carried out a “preemptive strike” aimed at neutralizing threats posed by Iran. Following the strikes, warning sirens have sounded across Israel. Meanwhile, Iran’s Fars News Agency reported hearing three explosions in Tehran.
