TEHRAN: Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in its first reaction to recent U.S. and Israeli strikes, declared that the country’s armed forces will use all available capabilities to respond. In a statement, the ministry described the attacks as violations of Iran’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, saying they are against the Charter of the United Nations. At the same time, a spokesperson for Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff said that all U.S. bases in the region are considered “legitimate targets” and that Iran’s response will continue. Iranian media reported that several American military bases in regional countries have been targeted. The escalation follows large-scale strikes launched by the United States and Israel on multiple Iranian cities, after which Iran carried out missile and drone retaliatory attacks.
