KABUL: India has strongly condemned Pakistan’s airstrikes on Afghan territory. Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, described the attacks as an attempt to shift Pakistan’s internal crises beyond its borders, saying the strikes during Ramadan resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children. He reaffirmed India’s support for Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. At the same time, Hakan Fidan held separate phone calls with Amir Khan Muttaqi and Ishaq Dar, stressing the importance of de-escalation, preventing further violence, and preserving regional stability. In a related development, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi discussed the issue with Ishaq Dar, emphasizing Qatar’s efforts to resolve disputes through dialogue and negotiation. Additionally, Russia and China have called on both sides to halt the fighting. The renewed tensions began following border clashes between the Taliban and Pakistan and continue amid growing international calls for a diplomatic resolution.
