KABUL: Hamid Karzai strongly condemned reported Pakistani airstrikes on Afghan cities, saying the bombings targeted Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia. In a post on X late Thursday, Karzai wrote that the people of Afghanistan would stand united in all circumstances to defend their country and would give a decisive response to acts of aggression. He stressed that Pakistan cannot resolve existing problems through violence and bombardment and should instead adopt a policy of good neighborliness, mutual respect and civilized relations with Afghanistan. Karzai’s remarks come following reports of airstrikes in several Afghan provinces.
