TEHRAN: A training aircraft belonging to the Iranian Army Air Force crashed on Tuesday morning in Khomeini Shahr district of Isfahan province, killing four people, local authorities said. The aircraft went down in the courtyard of a fruit and vegetable market, resulting in casualties on the ground. Emergency and police teams were immediately dispatched to the scene to secure the area and assist the injured. Provincial crisis management officials said the crash was caused by a technical malfunction. The pilot and co-pilot were killed in the incident. Two market vendors also lost their lives, and one other person was injured, authorities said. Investigations are underway to determine further details, and local officials said additional safety measures would be implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future.
