PERU: At least 15 people have died following the crash of a Mi-17 helicopter in southern Peru, the Peruvian Air Force reported Monday night. The helicopter was located in the Chala Viejo area of Arequipa after losing radio contact. Authorities said the crash claimed the lives of four crew members and 11 passengers, including several children. The aircraft had been transporting aid to residents affected by recent floods in the region. Officials have not yet released details on the cause of the crash, and investigations are ongoing to determine how the incident occurred.
