KABUL: The leadership council of the Intellectual Movement of Afghans has strongly condemned the recent violent incidents in Afghanistan, calling the killing of innocent civilians unacceptable. The group described any cross-border attacks, bombings, and targeting of Afghan civilians as clear violations of international norms, human rights, and the country’s national sovereignty. “We believe the patience of the Afghan people is not limitless,” the statement read. “The blood of martyrs in Nangarhar, Paktika, and other provinces will not go unanswered.” The movement urged all Afghan political, ethnic, religious, and civil society groups to unite in defense of the nation, protect citizens’ rights, and uphold mutual respect and national solidarity. The council also called on international organizations and responsible authorities to pay serious attention to ongoing atrocities against the Afghan people and to take practical steps to prevent their recurrence. “Afghanistan is the shared home of all Afghans. Preserving the dignity, sovereignty, and security of this land is a national and historic responsibility,” the statement added.
