In matches played on Monday, the Afghanistan national cricket team secured a five-wicket victory over the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. Also on Monday, the England national cricket team defeated the Italy national cricket team, while the Sri Lanka national cricket team claimed a win against the Australia national cricket team. Afghanistan’s next match is scheduled for Thursday, against Canada national cricket team. Earlier in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Afghanistan suffered defeats against the New Zealand national cricket team and the South Africa national cricket team. The tournament is being jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
