KABUL: The Afghanistan Women’s Rights Watch, supported by ARSA Association, released its 2025 report titled “From Marginalization to Erasure”, documenting 411 cases of women’s rights violations in Afghanistan. The report details:” 76 cases of intentional killings, 130 public lashings, 72 arbitrary arrests or disappearances, 32 suicides, and 258 incidents with no formal investigation or judicial follow-up.” The watchdog warned that widespread impunity and serious barriers to justice have exacerbated the situation for women, especially those aged 18 to 34. Most violations were reported in Kabul, Nangarhar, and Kandahar, though the crisis affects the entire country.
