JALALABAD: The Taliban’s security command in Nangarhar has reported that five people were killed and three were injured in three separate traffic accidents in the province. The first incident occurred on the Torkham-Jalalabad highway in the Samarkhel district, where a trailer collided with a “Baba Ji” vehicle, resulting in three deaths and three injuries. The second accident took place in the third district of Jalalabad, where a Mazda vehicle hit a pedestrian and killed him. The third incident occurred in the ninth district of Jalalabad, where a truck collided with a motorcycle, causing the death of the motorcycle rider. Additionally, over the past two days, two traffic accidents in Samangan and Badakhshan provinces resulted in 19 deaths and several injuries, highlighting the ongoing road safety issues in the country.
