KHOST: According to local sources in Khost province, an explosion of a gas cylinder has claimed the lives of three women and injured one other individual. Sources confirmed to the media on Friday, that the incident occurred the previous day in the “Azada Mini” area near the center of Khost city. All of the victims were members of the same family, and the explosion also caused a fire. As of now, the Taliban have not commented on the incident. This tragedy comes at a time when, with the arrival of winter, similar occurrences due to the use of heating devices are reported from various provinces. The lack of safe heating equipment and ignorance regarding the proper use of these devices are considered the main factors behind such incidents, putting citizens’ lives at serious risk.
