ISLAMABAD: The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), said that it is deeply concerned about children who have been affected and sustained casualties in the recent attacks in Balochistan. The organization indicated that the rise in violence in the region has spread widespread fear among the civilian population, significantly impacting children and families. While expressing condolences to the families of the victims, UNICEF noted that they have been severely affected by these attacks. The organization emphasized that children should not be targeted and must not fall victim to conflict and violence, calling for their protection in accordance with national and international laws.
