DAVOS: It is scheduled that today, alongside the international economic conference in Davos, Switzerland, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, will discuss Greenland with officials from various countries. President Trump mentioned this meeting yesterday but did not specify which leaders would participate. Greenland, a large island located near U.S. territory, is administered by Denmark, and European leaders have opposed the idea of the island becoming part of the U.S. Earlier this week, President Trump warned that starting February 1st, he would increase tariffs on imports from Denmark and seven other European countries by 10%. If they still refuse to accept the U.S. demands regarding Greenland, these tariffs will be raised to 25% starting June 1st. Today, President Donald Trump is also expected to deliver a speech at the Davos international conference.
