Putin invited to join Gaza Peace Panel, Kremlin says

MOSCOW: Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for the Kremlin, has stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin has received an invitation to join the Gaza peace panel. According to a report by the American network CNN, Peskov made the remarks during a press conference, where he mentioned that the Kremlin is currently reviewing the invitation and hopes to receive more details from the U.S. regarding it. Peskov also noted that President Putin has received the invitation to join the panel through diplomatic channels. Meanwhile, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has also been invited to join the Gaza peace panel. The ministry expressed gratitude to the U.S. for sending the invitation to Lukashenko. The Gaza peace panel, recently announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, will be responsible for overseeing the reconstruction of Gaza. According to some reports, Trump has indicated that leaders who wish to join this panel must contribute one billion dollars.
