An explosion rocked a hotel in Shar-e-Naw Kabul

KABUL: The Taliban’s Kabul Police Command has confirmed an explosion at a hotel located in the Shar-e-Naw area of Gul Froshi Road in Kabul. Khalid Zadran, spokesman for the Taliban’s Kabul Police, posted on the social media platform X, stating that the explosion resulted in casualties. He added that an investigation into the incident has begun and further details will be shared with the media later. Residents of Kabul reported that the explosion occurred around 3:30 PM today. Videos shared on social media show a column of smoke rising from the explosion site. As of now, the target and nature of the explosion remain unclear, and no group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
