Afghanistan U19 defeat West Indies by 138 runs in Word Cup tournament

KABUL: The Afghanistan U19 national cricket team secured a significant victory against the West Indies U19 team, winning by a significant margin of 138 runs in their second match of the World Cup tournament. The match took place today in Namibia, after winning the toss, Afghanistan opted to bat first and scored 262 runs in 50 overs. Osmaan Sadat contributed significantly with 88 runs, while captain Mahboob Khan followed closely with 86 runs. In response, the West Indies team was bowled out for 124 runs in 33.2 overs, failing to reach the target. On the bowling side, Nooristani Omarzi took four wickets, and Khair Stanikzai and Wahidullah Zadran each claimed three wickets. The victory is Afghanistan’s second consecutive win in the tournament, as they previously defeated South Africa by 28 runs in their first match. The Afghanistan U19 national team will face Tanzania in their next match on Wednesday.
