KABUL: The SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft for the Artemis II mission arrived at Launch Complex 39B at Kennedy Space Center on Saturday. The transfer took approximately 12 hours from the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB). According to NASA, engineers are preparing the rocket for a “wet dress rehearsal” in the coming days. This exercise involves fueling with cryogenic materials, conducting a countdown, and safely venting fuel, marking the last step before the first crewed Artemis mission. The Artemis II mission is expected to last about 10 days and will feature four astronauts: Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen from the Canadian Space Agency. They will travel around the Moon and then return. This mission represents a significant step in preparing for future crewed missions to the Moon and Mars by the United States.
