NEW DELHI: After nearly a four-year ban, India has authorized the export of 500,000 metric tons of wheat flour and related products. Indian officials have stated that the country’s wheat yields have improved compared to previous years. India ranks second in the world in wheat production, following China. According to a report by Reuters, heatwaves in India had previously reduced wheat yields. In 2022, New Delhi banned wheat exports due to a decline in production, impacting shipments to other countries.
