KABUL: The United Nations has confirmed that Rosemary DiCarlo, the under-secretary-general for political and peacebuilding affairs, will visit Afghanistan by the end of January. UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric stated at a press briefing in New York that the exact date would be announced once arrangements are finalized. Dujarric mentioned that the purpose of this visit is to follow up on the Doha process, which was initiated by Secretary-General António Guterres in May 2023.
